Human Neurokinin B/NKB ELISA Kit

A competitive, antigen-coated ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Neurokinin B (NKB) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, performed with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after the addition of a sulphuric acid stop solution.

Sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL and the working range is 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity for 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 81-99%, 80-100% and 82-100% in serum (n=10); 89-98%, 82-101% and 85-96% in EDTA plasma (n=10); and 89-102%, 92-101% and 85-95% in heparin plasma (n=10). Spike-and-recovery averages are 92% in serum (range 85-105%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 85-102%) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 85-104%).

Neurokinin B is a neuropeptide involved in regulating neurotransmitter release and pain perception, with imbalances reported in chronic pain, neurological disorders and reproductive dysfunction. Unopened kits should be stored sealed at 2-8°C and not cryopreserved.
