Human Neurofilament medium polypeptide (NEFM) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Neurofilament medium polypeptide (NEFM). The assay is reactive with human material and is intended for the detection of natural and recombinant human NEFM in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

NEFM is a neurofilament intermediate filament protein; neurofilaments generally contain three intermediate filament proteins (L, M, and H) that are involved in the maintenance of neuronal caliber. Altered NEFM levels have been associated with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, making the protein a relevant biomarker in neuroscience research. The kit is supplied for research use only.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 10pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%.
