Human Neurofilament Heavy protein/NEFH ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of Neurofilament Heavy protein (NEFH) in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric, double-antibody format. The kit is intended for research use in studying NEFH, a protein associated with neuronal structure and function that is relevant to conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis.

The reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL, with a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. In-house validation data report serum linearity of 86–105% (1:2), 85–102% (1:4) and 87–103% (1:8); EDTA plasma linearity of 82–95%, 82–98% and 82–101%; and heparin plasma linearity of 82–99%, 83–93% and 83–100%. Spike-and-recovery averages were 96% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma and 95% for heparin plasma, with recovery ranges of 87–105%, 88–104% and 90–97% respectively.

The assay procedure involves equilibration of reagents, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
