Human Neurofibromin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit offers a colorimetric, double-antibody method for the quantitative measurement of human neurofibromin (also referred to as NF1 or neurofibromatosis-related protein NF-1; UniProt P21359). The assay is intended for human specimens and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. The format is designed to support reproducible quantification of a protein linked to the regulation of cell growth and division and to neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and related conditions. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8, with recovery in serum averaging 95% (range 85-105%), in EDTA plasma averaging 91% (range 85-104%), and in heparin plasma averaging 96% (range 89-104%). Reagents are supplied for storage at 2-8°C with a 12-month shelf life.

Sample-preparation guidance covers allowing blood to clot and centrifuging serum at 1000 × g for 20 minutes, collecting plasma using anticoagulant tubes and centrifuging at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2-8°C, homogenising tissue in PBS with protease inhibitors, and clarifying cell culture supernatant by centrifugation.
