Human Neurabin-2 (PPP1R9B) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Neurabin-2 (PPP1R9B), also referred to as Neurabin-II, Spinophilin, Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 9B, or PPP1R6. It detects natural and recombinant human Neurabin-2 and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids (UniProt Q96SB3).

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported as 5.6% and inter-assay CV as 9.6%. Recovery averaged 103% in serum (range 97–109%) and 105% in plasma (range 99–111%). Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 ranged from 82% to 121% for serum, EDTA-plasma and heparin-plasma samples.

Neurabin-2 (PPP1R9B) is a scaffold protein with roles in neuronal development and synaptic plasticity. It modulates excitatory synaptic transmission and dendritic spine morphology, binds actin filaments, and is believed to target protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) to dendritic spines. Dysregulation of Neurabin-2 has been linked to neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer's disease, autism and schizophrenia.
