Human Neprilysin (MME) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human neprilysin (MME) in research samples, using a colorimetric detection method compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The target, membrane metallo-endopeptidase (MME/neprilysin; also known as CD10, CALLA, NEP, atriopeptidase, enkephalinase, neutral endopeptidase 24.11, skin fibroblast elastase, SFE, and EPN), is a zinc metalloendopeptidase that degrades bioactive peptides such as amyloid beta, bradykinin, angiotensin-1 and -2, atrial natriuretic factor, and Met- and Leu-enkephalins. Dysregulation of neprilysin has been linked to Alzheimer's disease, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer, supporting its value as a biomarker in neuroscience research.

Reported performance: detection range 0.156-10 ng/mL, sensitivity 0.05 ng/mL, intra-assay CV 6.7%, and inter-assay CV 8.1%. Linearity was demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at serial dilutions, with recovery of 101% (range 95-107%) in serum and 103% (range 97-109%) in plasma. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human neprilysin (UniProt P08473).

Kit components include a dismountable strip ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution, and plate sealer; most components are stored at -20°C while wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution are stored at 4°C.
