Human Nephrin (NPHS1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the precise quantification of human Nephrin (NPHS1) levels in samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples and uses ELISA detection, with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL.

Performance characteristics include an Intra CV of 6.8% and an Inter CV of 9.2%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilution ratios from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery ranges from 96-108% for serum and 98-110% for plasma. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Nephrin and is intended for research use only, within the research area of signal transduction.

Nephrin is a key protein of the kidney's glomerular filtration barrier, and the kit supports studies of renal function and kidney diseases such as glomerular disorders, where dysregulation of nephrin expression has been reported. The protein is also linked to skeletal muscle formation through regulation of myoblast fusion, with the UniProt accession O60500.
