Human NEFL (Neurofilament, Light Polypeptide) CLIA Kit (HUES00467)

Designed for the quantitative detection of human Neurofilament light polypeptide (NEFL), this chemiluminescence-based immunoassay from Assay Genie is intended for use with serum, plasma and other biological fluids. NEFL, also referred to as NF-L, NF68, 68 kDa neurofilament protein or Neurofilament triplet L protein (UniProt P07196), is the most abundant of the three neurofilament proteins (L, M, and H) that assemble into the axoskeleton to maintain neuronal caliber. The CLIA detection format supports neuroscience research, including studies of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), where changes in NEFL levels have been linked to disease.
