Human NEF3/Neurofilament 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human NEF3 (Neurofilament 3) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit targets neurofilament-3, a protein referenced also as NF-M, NFM and neurofilament medium polypeptide (UniProt P07197), and is positioned for research applications in neuroscience, including the study of neurodegenerative disorders. A sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL are reported.

Validated linearity is given for serum (1:2 84-100%, 1:4 88-99%, 1:8 88-101%), EDTA plasma (1:2 88-98%, 1:4 83-100%, 1:8 86-99%) and heparin plasma (1:2 82-101%, 1:4 81-97%, 1:8 93-104%). Spike-and-recovery results fall between 95-105% for serum (average 97%), 85-102% for EDTA plasma (average 94%) and 85-104% for heparin plasma (average 96%). The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance recorded at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.

Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (100X), TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer and a technical manual. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with plate strips and standards also suitable for storage at -20°C.
