The Nectin-2 protein, also called CD112 or PVRL2, is a calcium-independent immunoglobulin-like cell adhesion molecule expressed on epithelial, endothelial, and antigen-presenting cells, as well as on multiple tumor cell lines. As a key ligand for the activating receptor DNAM-1 (CD226) and the inhibitory receptor TIGIT on natural killer and T cells, Nectin-2 sits at an important junction in tumor immunology, viral entry research, and immune checkpoint studies.
