The Assay Genie NDEL1 ELISA-format immunoassay is built for quantitative measurement of NudE neurodevelopment protein 1-like 1 in human research samples. NDEL1 is a 38 kDa dynein-associated regulator of microtubule dynamics that governs neuronal migration, the positioning of nuclei during radial glial locomotion, and proper mitotic progression. Laboratory teams working on schizophrenia genetics, lissencephaly models, bipolar disorder cohorts, and glioblastoma or lung adenocarcinoma cell line studies use NDEL1 quantification to correlate protein levels with disease-associated risk variants, or with LIS1 and dynein complex stoichiometry in patient-derived material.

The kit is configured for use on a standard microplate reader. Each shipment supplies a pre-coated plate, biotinylated detection reagent, lyophilized standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution. Lyophilized components should be reconstituted shortly before use and stored refrigerated; reconstituted standards are not stable through repeated freeze-thaw cycles and should be aliquoted into single-use vials to preserve the calibration curve.

The kit has been validated for use with human sample matrices, and the protocol provides recommended dilution ranges. Cell lysates from cultured neurons, tumor lines, or differentiated iPSC-derived neural progenitors can also be analyzed after appropriate dilution in the supplied assay diluent. Researchers interested in cross-reactivity with the related nudE family member NDE1, or in adapting the kit to cerebrospinal fluid or tissue homogenates, are encouraged to contact Assay Genie technical support for guidance on pilot experiments.
