Human NCAM-1/CD56 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human NCAM-1 (also known as CD56), a cell adhesion molecule involved in cell-cell interactions, neural development, and immune response. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich configuration with colorimetric detection, supporting research into cancer, autoimmune diseases, and neurological disorders.

Validated for use with human samples, the assay detects NCAM-1/CD56 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a standard range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to twelve months and include lyophilized standards, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, dilution and wash buffers, and a pre-coated microplate.

The protocol involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37°C, followed by sequential addition of biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin. Colour is developed with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes and the reaction is stopped before reading absorbance at 450 nm. Reported validation shows recovery in the 86–105% range across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
