Human NAT5/NAA20 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human NAT5 (also known as NAA20, N-alpha-acetyltransferase 20) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a reported sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a detection range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. NAT5/NAA20 is described as the catalytic subunit of the NatB complex, which acetylates N-terminal methionine residues of peptides beginning with Met-Asp, Met-Glu, Met-Asn and Met-Gln and is required for maintaining the structure and function of actomyosin fibers and proper cellular migration. Dysregulation of NAT5 has been linked to a range of diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for studying conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Performance data reported by the manufacturer include linearity across dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n = 5), with recoveries ranging from 82–100% in serum (average 94%), 83–100% in EDTA plasma (average 94%), and 84–98% in heparin plasma (average 90%). The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and the supplied protocol uses a pre-coated plate with standards, samples and blanks incubated at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by biotin-labeled detection antibody (60 minutes at 37°C), HRP-Streptavidin binding (30 minutes at 37°C), TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution is added.
