Human NADPH oxidase 4 (NOX4) ELISA Kit

It is intended for research use only, with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a reported sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL, supporting consistent and reproducible measurement of NOX4 in human samples.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 10.5%, with recovery in serum of 98% (range 92-104%) and in plasma of 100% (range 94-106%). Linearity was assessed across serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human NADPH oxidase 4 (UniProt Q9NPH5), and the associated research area is cardiovascular.

NOX4 is a key enzyme that generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) and is implicated in redox signaling, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Isoform 4 of the protein is involved in redox signaling in vascular cells, constitutively and NADPH-dependently generates ROS, modulates nuclear activation of ERK1/2 and the ELK1 transcription factor, and is capable of inducing nuclear DNA damage.
