Human NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 8, mitochondrial (NDUFS8) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 8, mitochondrial (NDUFS8), a core subunit of the mitochondrial respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I) that participates in electron transfer from NADH to ubiquinone. The colorimetric assay is reactive with human samples and is applicable to investigations of mitochondrial function, oxidative stress and related pathologies; the manufacturer identifies Neurosciences as the research area.

Performance figures include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. Dilutional linearity has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions. Recovery in serum averaged 87% (range 81–93%), and in plasma averaged 89% (range 83–95%).

The kit has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant human NDUFS8. It is supplied for research use only.
