Human NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase 3 (CYB5R3) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase 3 (CYB5R3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an ELISA detection method and is intended for research use only.

The kit has a sensitivity of 0.414ng/mL and a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported as an intra CV of 5.9% and inter-assay precision as an inter CV of 8.5%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery has been measured in serum (average 97%, range 91-103) and plasma (average 99%, range 93-105).

CYB5R3 is an enzyme involved in electron transport and lipid metabolism, with roles in the desaturation and elongation of fatty acids, cholesterol biosynthesis, drug metabolism and, in erythrocytes, methemoglobin reduction. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human CYB5R3, also known by the synonyms Diaphorase-1, B5R and DIA1, and is grouped under the Cardiovascular research area.
