Human NAD (P)H dehydrogenase [quinone] 1 (NQO1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human NAD(P)H dehydrogenase [quinone] 1 (NQO1) in research samples. Using a colorimetric detection method, the assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and it specifically recognises natural and recombinant human NQO1.

Key performance figures include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 35 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Recovery in serum averages 99% (range 93–105%) and in plasma averages 101% (range 95–107%).

NQO1 is a cytoplasmic, homodimeric FAD-binding flavoprotein that plays a central role in cellular defence against oxidative stress and in the detoxification of quinones. The kit is intended for research use only and supports investigation of oxidative stress, detoxification pathways and disease pathogenesis, including work within the epigenetics research area.
