Immunoassay reagents supplied by Assay Genie enable quantitative measurement of human N-acylethanolamine-hydrolyzing acid amidase (NAAA), a lysosomal enzyme belonging to the amidase signature (AS) family that hydrolyzes bioactive lipid amides including palmitoylethanolamide and oleoylethanolamine. Because NAAA modulates endogenous N-acylethanolamine tone, the kit supports research into endocannabinoid signaling, inflammatory cascades, and lipid metabolism pathways in human-derived specimens.

The kit format provides pre-coated plate wells, calibrated standards, detection antibodies, and substrate buffers configured for a 96 Assays plate layout suitable for colorimetric readout. Reagents are intended for research use only in vitro workflows, and unopened components should be stored under refrigerated conditions to preserve enzyme-binding activity of the capture and detection reagents.

NAAA is increasingly investigated in studies of neuropathic pain, immune cell function, and metabolic regulation, where enzyme levels in blood-derived fractions serve as a biomarker of endocannabinoid system activity. Standard ELISA workflows with the supplied reagents permit investigators to generate standard curves and quantify NAAA concentrations across experimental samples.

Each kit ships with a detailed protocol outlining plate-coating verification, sample dilution guidance, and recommended incubation times, with reagents supplied in individual vials arranged for single-use aliquots where appropriate.
