Human Na+ Taurocholate Cotransporting Polypeptide (NTCP) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Human NTCP ELISA Kit is intended for quantitative measurement of the sodium-taurocholate cotransporting polypeptide (SLC10A1), a hepatocyte basolateral transporter that mediates uptake of conjugated bile acids from portal blood and also serves as the cellular entry receptor for hepatitis B and hepatitis D viruses. The kit supports research into bile acid homeostasis, cholestatic liver disease, drug-induced hepatotoxicity, hepatocellular transporter regulation, and HBV/HDV host-entry biology.

Built on a sandwich ELISA platform in a 96-well microplate, the assay is calibrated for human tissue homogenates and cell lysate samples, with intra-assay precision appropriate for comparing transporter expression across hepatic cell models and primary hepatocyte cultures. The capture antibody is human-specific, showing no significant cross-reactivity with rat or mouse Ntcp orthologs, and a typical sample volume of 100 uL is loaded per well. Unused reagents should be stored refrigerated and protected from light; allow the microplate and all components to equilibrate to room temperature before beginning the protocol.
