Human N-formyl peptide receptor 2 (FPR2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of human N-formyl peptide receptor 2 (FPR2). It is reactive with human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognises both natural and recombinant human N-formyl peptide receptor 2. The assay is read colorimetrically at 450 nm.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 33pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.4% and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with recovery at an average of 81% for serum (range 80-87%) and 83% for plasma (range 80-89%).

FPR2 is a low-affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophil chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils, mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Activation of LXA4R can result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of pro-inflammatory signals such as leukotriene B4. The protein is a multi-pass membrane protein localised to the cell membrane, with a molecular weight of 38,964 Da (UniProt P25090). The kit is intended for research use only.
