PGLYRP2, also known as peptidoglycan recognition protein 2, is a key enzyme of the immune response that plays a scavenger role by digesting biologically active peptidoglycan into biologically inactive fragments. Dysregulation of PGLYRP2 has been implicated in inflammatory conditions and infectious diseases, making it a useful biomarker for these areas of study. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase.

Performance characteristics cited by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, sensitivity of 0.054ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 4.2% and inter-assay CV of 7.9%.
