Human N-acetylaspartate synthetase (NAT8L) ELISA Kit

N-acetylaspartate synthetase (NAT8L) is an enzyme with a key role in the biosynthesis of N-acetylaspartate (NAA), a brain-specific metabolite implicated in brain development and function. Also referenced by the synonyms Camello-like protein 3, N-acetyltransferase 8-like protein, NAA synthetase and CML3, the target functions in the regulation of lipogenesis, promotes dopamine uptake by regulating TNF-alpha expression, and attenuates methamphetamine-induced inhibition of dopamine uptake. The kit is classified within the metabolism research area and recognises natural and recombinant human N-acetylaspartate synthetase.

Recovery has been validated at an average of 83% (range 80-89%) for serum and 85% (range 80-91%) for plasma, supporting reliable quantitation across biologically relevant sample matrices.
