The MYH7B gene encodes a cardiac muscle beta myosin heavy chain protein localized primarily to slow-twitch fibers of the heart, and altered expression has been linked to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, and heart failure progression in published studies. Researchers use this quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie to measure MYH7B protein abundance in patient-derived cardiac tissue, model organism hearts, and differentiating stem-cell cardiomyocytes, supporting work in contractile function, sarcomere assembly, and cardiac regeneration biology. The microplate provides a reproducible method for quantifying MYH7B concentrations using a standard sample volume of 50 uL per well, with serum, plasma, or tissue homogenate loaded according to the protocol. The assay shows no significant cross-reactivity with the related MYH7 or MYH2 myosin heavy chain isoforms, supporting human-specific quantification in research use only workflows. All kit components should be stored refrigerated at 4 degrees C between uses, with the standard and detection antibody aliquoted to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity over the shelf life of the kit.
