Assay Genie's quantitative immunoassay kit targets MYH6, the gene encoding the alpha cardiac muscle myosin heavy chain, a contractile protein isoform predominantly expressed in atrial cardiomyocytes and early-stage ventricular tissue. Researchers studying inherited cardiomyopathy, congenital heart defects, and sarcomeric assembly use this plate-based colorimetric kit to measure MYH6 protein levels in human research specimens.

The microplate-format kit supports up to 96 determinations per run and is configured for absorbance-based readout on a standard plate reader. Reconstituted reagents and unused strips should be handled according to the enclosed insert, and the assay is intended for research use only, not for diagnostic procedures.

Compatible human specimen types include serum samples, plasma, and tissue homogenate preparations, in addition to other research specimen matrices collected under approved protocols. Each kit is shipped with pre-coated wells, detection antibody, standards, and substrate sufficient to generate a standard curve across the expected dynamic range.

Typical workflow steps involve adding prepared sample and a biotinylated detection reagent to coated wells, washing, incubation with streptavidin-HRP conjugate, further washing, and addition of chromogenic substrate before stopping the reaction and reading absorbance. Curve fitting against the supplied standards yields relative MYH6 concentrations suitable for comparing normal versus diseased cardiac tissue or for monitoring expression changes in cell culture and differentiation models.
