Human Myosin Heavy Chain 4, Skeletal Muscle (MYH4) ELISA Kit

The MYH4 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only and quantitatively detects the myosin heavy chain IIb protein encoded by the human MYH4 gene on chromosome 17p13.1. This fast-twitch skeletal muscle isoform is expressed predominantly in type IIb muscle fibers and is widely studied in the context of muscle fiber type composition, exercise-induced hypertrophy, disuse atrophy, sarcopenia, neuromuscular disease, and post-injury regeneration. The antibody pair is calibrated for human MYH4, with no significant cross-reactivity with the closely related MYH1, MYH2, and MYH7 isoforms. Unopened components should be kept refrigerated in their original packaging, with the microplate sealed inside the foil pouch alongside the desiccant. Reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles and stored at the temperature indicated in the supplied manual; bring all working reagents to room temperature before the assay and protect them from light.
