Human Myosin Heavy Chain 2, Skeletal Muscle, Adult (MYH2) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie MYH2 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human myosin heavy chain IIa, a contractile protein expressed predominantly in type IIa fast-twitch skeletal muscle fibers. The assay uses a human-specific capture antibody, and researchers apply it to studies of muscle fiber composition, exercise adaptation, sarcopenia, and inherited myopathies such as Laing distal myopathy and inclusion body myositis, in which MYH2 sequence variants have been characterized.

Each kit includes a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant calibrator standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, substrate solution, and wash buffer sufficient for 96 determinations. Reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be aliquoted and stored at -20 degrees C to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, while the sealed kit is held refrigerated until first use.
