Human Myosin-binding protein C, cardiac-type (MYBPC3) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Myosin-binding protein C, cardiac-type (MYBPC3) in human samples. Known synonyms include C-protein, cardiac muscle isoform and Cardiac MyBP-C. The assay is reactive with human specimens, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human MYBPC3.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.039ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 5.6% and inter-assay CV at 8.6%. Recovery in serum averages 96% (range 90-102) and in plasma averages 98% (range 92-104). Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions of spiked serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. MYBPC3 is a thick filament-associated protein located in the crossbridge region of vertebrate striated muscle A bands; in vitro it binds MHC, F-actin and native thin filaments and modifies the activity of actin-activated myosin ATPase. Mutations in MYBPC3 have been linked to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
