Human Myosin-2 (MYH2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Myosin-2 (MYH2) in research samples. The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and reactivity has been confirmed for human samples. Reported performance includes a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 38pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant human Myosin-2, which is also referred to by synonyms including Myosin heavy chain 2, Myosin heavy chain 2a, Myosin heavy chain IIa, Myosin heavy chain (skeletal muscle, adult 2), MyHC-2a, MyHC-IIa and MYHSA2.

MYH2 is a hexameric motor protein composed of two heavy chains, two alkali light chains and two regulatory light chains, with roles in muscle contraction and cytoskeleton organisation. The protein is localised to the cytoplasm, myofibrils and the thick filaments of the myofibrils, and falls within the signal transduction research area. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across multiple dilutions, and recovery data for serum and plasma are supplied with the kit.
