The Assay Genie Human Myoglobin PharmaGenie ELISA Kit provides quantitative measurement of myoglobin, an iron- and oxygen-binding protein abundant in cardiac and skeletal muscle. Circulating myoglobin rises rapidly after myocardial infarction and during rhabdomyolysis, making this assay useful for cardiovascular biomarker research, exercise physiology investigations, and studies of acute kidney injury secondary to muscle damage.

Built on a pre-coated microplate, the immunoassay works with cell culture supernatants, plasma, or serum samples. Each well requires 50 µL of sample, and the procedure incorporates a chromogenic substrate for spectrophotometric quantification. Standards are supplied for calibration across the working concentration range, with characterized intra-assay and inter-assay precision for reproducible results between plates.

Reagents arrive ready-to-use or as concentrated stock solutions requiring dilution. The kit is intended for research use only and should be refrigerated upon arrival. Reconstituted components should be aliquoted and frozen to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles that degrade antibody performance. Researchers studying troponin-negative chest pain, marathon-associated muscle injury, or statin-induced myopathy can apply this assay to longitudinal sampling designs and time-course experiments.
