Human MYOF/Myoferlin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit provides a double-antibody method for the quantitative measurement of human myoferlin (MYOF) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Myoferlin is a ferlin-family membrane protein (also known as Fer-1-like protein 3) involved in muscle cell membrane formation, maintenance and repair, and its dysregulation has been associated with muscle-related disorders, making it a relevant biomarker for studies of muscle biology and pathology.

The colorimetric assay uses a TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sensitivity is 0.375 ng/mL and the working range is 0.625-40 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) is 98-103% / 88-96% / 85-100% in serum, 93-105% / 83-101% / 81-95% in EDTA plasma, and 85-103% / 85-99% / 83-99% in heparin plasma. Spike-recovery ranges are 85-99% (average 92%) for serum, 89-104% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 90-104% (average 98%) for heparin plasma. Kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
