Human MYL1/Myosin Light Chain 1 ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich (double antibody) ELISA from Assay Genie, the Human MYL1/Myosin Light Chain 1 ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of MYL1 (Myosin Light Chain 1) in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric: TMB substrate is added and absorbance is measured at 450 nm after the stop solution is applied.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of 75 pg/mL and a working range of 125-8000 pg/mL. Reagents are shipped on ice packs and the kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The kit is supplied with a dismountable pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealers, and a technical manual. A Bradford Reagent is also included for total protein quantification and sample normalization.

Recommended sample handling includes clotting and centrifugation of whole blood at 1000 × g for 20 minutes for serum, anticoagulant-tube collection followed by centrifugation at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2-8°C for plasma, tissue homogenization in PBS with protease inhibitors and centrifugation at 5000 × g for 5 minutes for tissue lysates, and centrifugation of cell culture supernatant at 2500 rpm for 5 minutes at 2-8°C. The procedure uses sequential 37°C incubations of 90 minutes for antigen binding, 60 minutes with detection antibody, and 30 minutes with HRP-Streptavidin, followed by 10-20 minutes of TMB color development in the dark.
