Human Myeloperoxidase (MPO) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for quantitative measurement of human Myeloperoxidase (MPO) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. MPO is a heme protein and the major component of neutrophil azurophilic granules; in stimulated polymorphonuclear leukocytes it catalyses production of hypohalous acids, primarily hypochlorous acid, providing microbicidal activity against a wide range of organisms.

Detection range 0.156-10ng/mL, sensitivity 0.089ng/mL, intra-assay CV 4.2%, inter-assay CV 8.5%. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human MPO (UniProt P05164), a disulfide-linked homodimer of light and heavy chains. Linearity is reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) for serum and 90% (range 84-96%) for plasma. The kit is for research use only, with applications including immunology, inflammation, and oxidative stress studies.
