The Human Myeloid Progenitor Inhibitory Factor 2 (MPIF2) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of MPIF2, also known as CCL24 or Exodus-3, a C-C chemokine implicated in eosinophil chemotaxis, allergic airway inflammation, and eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal disorders. The assay uses a sandwich ELISA configuration with a colorimetric readout, providing reproducible results across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants.

Each kit contains a pre-coated 96-well microplate, capture and detection antibodies, lyophilized standards, substrate solution, stop reagent, wash buffer, and assay diluent sufficient for 96 determinations. The recommended sample volume is 100 uL per well, and standard curves are generated using serial dilutions of the supplied recombinant MPIF2 reference, with absorbance typically read at 450 nm.

Storage: unopened kits should be kept refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C, with the microplate sealed inside its foil pouch to protect from moisture; reconstituted reagents and diluted standards require aliquoting and freezing at -20 degrees C for longer-term storage. Allow all reagents to reach room temperature before use, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity. This kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.

MPIF2 has emerged as a biomarker of interest in studies of asthma, atopic dermatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and parasitic infection, where eosinophil-driven pathology is being investigated. Researchers examining eosinophil biology, chemokine signaling, or airway inflammation models may apply this kit to quantify CCL24 concentrations in patient-derived samples, bronchial lavage fluid, or experimental cell culture systems, supporting both in vitro mechanistic work and translational biomarker discovery.
