Human Myelin-oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Myelin-oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG), employing a colorimetric detection method. The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human MOG.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.9% CV and inter-assay precision is 8.5% CV. Dilutional linearity in serum (N=5) ranges from 105-115% at 1:2 to 102-112% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) ranges from 92-103% to 114-124%; heparin plasma (N=5) ranges from 96-105% to 83-92%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 98% (92-104%) for serum and 100% (94-106%) for plasma.

MOG is a membrane protein expressed on the oligodendrocyte cell surface and the outermost surface of myelin sheaths, where it acts as a primary target antigen involved in immune-mediated demyelination. Dysregulation of MOG has been linked to neurological disorders including multiple sclerosis, and the kit is positioned for research in neurosciences. It is supplied for research use only.
