Human Myelin Associated Glycoprotein (MAG) ELISA Kit

This immunoassay kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human Myelin Associated Glycoprotein (MAG) levels in research samples including tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants. MAG is a transmembrane adhesion molecule of the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed by myelinating Schwann cells and oligodendrocytes where it mediates axon-glial contact during myelin sheath formation and stabilization. Neuroscience and neuroimmunology laboratories apply the assay to investigate demyelinating disorders such as multiple sclerosis, peripheral neuropathies including Guillain-Barré syndrome, and Schwann cell differentiation pathways.
