Human Muscle, skeletal receptor tyrosine-protein kinase (MUSK) ELISA Kit

For research applications requiring quantitative measurement of muscle-specific receptor tyrosine kinase, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for human MUSK detection in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay provides a detection range of 0.156–10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.045ng/mL, alongside intra-assay CV of 3.8% and inter-assay CV of 7.4%. Specificity is demonstrated against natural and recombinant human MUSK (UniProt O15146).

In spiked recovery testing, serum samples returned an average of 97% (range 91–103%) and plasma 99% (range 93–105%), with linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma generally between 91–116%. MUSK is a receptor tyrosine kinase central to the formation and maintenance of the neuromuscular junction, the synapse between the motor neuron and the skeletal muscle. Its dysregulation has been associated with disorders such as myasthenia gravis, and congenital myasthenic syndrome has been linked to mutations in this gene, making the protein a valuable biomarker for neuromuscular junction research.
