Human Multiple coagulation factor deficiency protein 2 (MCFD2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative detection of human Multiple Coagulation Factor Deficiency protein 2 (MCFD2). The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for measuring MCFD2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, for research use only.

Manufacturer performance data: a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 13 pg/mL; intra-assay CV of 4.3% and inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Linearity was assessed in serum (93-102% at 1:2 to 88-100% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (87-117% across the dilution series) and heparin plasma (89-120% across dilutions). Recovery is reported as 90-102% in serum and 92-104% in plasma. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human MCFD2, and detection is colorimetric.

MCFD2, also known by the synonyms Neural stem cell-derived neuronal survival protein and SDNSF (UniProt Q8NI22), forms a calcium-dependent complex with LMAN1 and serves as a specific cargo receptor for ER-to-Golgi transport of selected proteins, contributing to the secretion of coagulation factors. The protein is found in the endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment, the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus.
