Human Multidrug resistance protein 3 (ABCB4) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of human Multidrug resistance protein 3 (ABCB4), this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is a colorimetric immunoassay intended for research use only. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human Phosphatidylcholine translocator ABCB4 (UniProt P21439) and is reactive with human samples.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma (EDTA and heparin), tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Reported performance characteristics are a detection range of 78-5000pg/ml, a sensitivity of 34pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Dilutional linearity for serum ranged from 93-102% at 1:2 to 98-107% at 1:16; EDTA plasma ranged between 99-108% and 93-106%, and heparin plasma between 108-118% and 110-120% across the same dilutions. Mean recovery was 103% (range 97-109) for serum and 105% (range 99-111) for plasma.

ABCB4 is an energy-dependent phospholipid efflux translocator that acts as a positive regulator of biliary lipid secretion, functioning as a floppase that translocates phosphatidylcholine across the canalicular membrane of hepatocytes. It is localised to the apical canalicular membrane and is listed under the Cardiovascular research area.
