Human Multidrug resistance protein 1 (ABCB1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Multidrug resistance protein 1 (ABCB1), also known as P-glycoprotein 1, CD243, MDR1, and PGY1. The colorimetric assay is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and specifically recognises natural and recombinant human ATP-dependent translocase ABCB1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.076 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 5.3% and inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Linearity was reported in serum (87–98% to 92–102%), EDTA plasma (109–120% to 101–109%) and heparin plasma (94–105% to 107–117%) across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 (N=5). Recovery was 86% (80–92%) in serum and 88% (82–94%) in plasma.

ABCB1 is described as an energy-dependent efflux pump belonging to the ABC transporter superfamily (MDR/TAP subfamily) and a multi-pass cell membrane / apical membrane protein implicated in drug resistance, multidrug transport and transmembrane transport.
