Description

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA for the quantitative detection of human Multidrug resistance-associated protein 4 (ABCC4), a member of the MRP subfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters involved in multi-drug resistance. The kit targets ABCC4, also known by the synonyms ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 4, MRP4, MOAT-B, Multi-specific organic anion transporter B, and MRP/cMOAT-related ABC transporter, and is reactive with human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and delivers a sensitivity of 0.16 ng/mL across a detection range of 0.39-25 ng/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Multidrug resistance-associated protein 4 and is intended for research use only.

Linearity was assessed across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (82-94% to 99-110%), EDTA plasma (81-93% to 109-120%), and heparin plasma (82-91% to 103-112%). Recovery averaged 92% (range 86-98%) in serum and 94% (range 88-100%) in plasma. ABCC4 is a multi-pass membrane protein that may function as an organic anion pump relevant to cellular detoxification, supporting research in neurosciences and studies of multidrug resistance mechanisms.
