Human Mucin 7, Secreted (MUC7) ELISA Kit

MUC7 is a small, low-molecular-weight secreted salivary mucin produced by sublingual and submandibular glands, where it contributes to oral lubrication, microbial defense, and the viscoelastic properties of saliva. This Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of MUC7 in human saliva and other biospecimens, supporting research in periodontology, xerostomia, salivary gland disorders, and oral biofilm interactions. The reagents are supplied in a single-use microplate format and include capture antibody, detection antibody, standards, and substrate. Reconstituted components should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles and stored refrigerated per the insert. The assay uses a human-specific capture antibody with no significant cross-reactivity with rodent homologs, and is intended for research use only.
