Human Mucin-4/MUC4 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Mucin-4 (MUC4). Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, with reagents stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. MUC4 is a glycoprotein involved in cell signaling, adhesion, and immune response, and is noted as a valuable biomarker in research contexts such as cancer, inflammatory disorders, and respiratory disease.

Recovery performance across spiked matrices is reported as: Serum (n=5) 86–105% (average 97%), EDTA Plasma (n=5) 86–104% (average 96%), and Heparin Plasma (n=5) 85–100% (average 96%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported for Serum (n=5) at 85–101%, 91–103% and 85–104%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) at 84–98%, 84–101% and 84–96%; and Heparin Plasma (n=5) at 81–100%, 80–99% and 81–98%. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development.
