Human Mucin 3/MUC3 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides quantitative detection of human Mucin 3 (MUC3) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm, supporting research into mucosal protection, cell signalling, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, and respiratory tract infections. The kit reaches a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL.

Spike-and-recovery performance is consistent across matrices, with average recovery of 94% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma, and 93% in heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spans 87–97%, 93–99%, and 80–99% in serum; 86–103%, 86–99%, and 85–100% in EDTA plasma; and 88–105%, 84–96%, and 81–98% in heparin plasma. The procedure involves equilibrating the pre-coated plate, incubating standards and samples at 37 °C, sequential binding of biotinylated detection antibody and HRP–streptavidin, TMB colour development in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding the stop solution. Components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP–streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and technical manual. The kit should be stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months.
