Human Mucin 21 (MUC21) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's MUC21 immunoassay enables quantitative determination of human Mucin 21, a membrane-tethered mucin glycoprotein implicated in epithelial barrier protection and reported to show altered expression in lung, gastric, and pancreatic carcinomas. Each microplate arrives pre-coated with a capture antibody selective for MUC21 extracellular epitopes, paired with a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash concentrate, TMB substrate, stop solution, and a lyophilized recombinant MUC21 standard for constructing the calibration curve. Reconstituted standards and detection reagents should be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C or colder to limit freeze-thaw cycles, while unopened kit components remain stable for several months under refrigerated storage. The protocol is validated for use with blood-derived fractions such as serum or plasma, as well as cleared tissue homogenates, making it relevant for oncology, mucosal immunity, and inflammatory biomarker investigations.
