Human MUC2 (Mucin-2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit designed for the quantitative measurement of Mucin-2 in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a pre-coated microtiter plate together with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a colour change read at 450 nm. Reported analytical performance includes a sensitivity of less than 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, with storage recommended at 2–8°C.

Mucin-2 is described as a key mucin protein contributing to the integrity of the mucosal barrier in the gastrointestinal tract, and dysregulation of its expression has been associated with gastrointestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.
