Human Mu-type opioid receptor (OPRM1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Mu-type opioid receptor (OPRM1; also referred to as Mu opiate receptor, Mu opioid receptor, MOP, M-OR-1, and MOR1) in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. The colorimetric assay is reactive with human samples and supports neuroscience research into pain modulation, opioid addiction, and the therapeutic effects of opioid molecules.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 3.9% CV and inter-assay precision is 7.8% CV. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery averages 98% for serum (range 92–104%) and 100% for plasma (range 94–106%). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human OPRM1 (UniProt P35372).

For research use only, the kit is suited to studies of OPRM1-mediated G-protein signalling, receptor desensitization, and related neurophysiological processes.
