Human MTX2/Metaxin-2 ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate quantification of MTX2 levels in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with a colorimetric detection method. It is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Linearity values for serum (n=5) span 89–105% at 1:2, 82–101% at 1:4, and 86–92% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) 86–104%, 85–94%, and 90–100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) 88–103%, 83–98%, and 81–99%. Recovery ranges are 86–101% (average 93%) for serum, 88–101% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 86–100% (average 94%) for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and falls within the cell biology research area.

MTX2, also known as Metaxin-2 (UniProt O75431), is the mitochondrial outer membrane import complex protein 2. The target is involved in mitochondrial function and metabolism, and its dysfunction has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders, metabolic syndromes, and cancer, supporting its use as a marker for studying disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.
