Human MTR/Methionine synthase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, the Human MTR/Methionine synthase ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format to measure methionine synthase (MTR) in human samples, with a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL.

The target enzyme catalyzes the transfer of a methyl group from methyl-cobalamin to homocysteine, yielding enzyme-bound cob(I)alamin and methionine, and subsequently remethylates the cofactor using methyltetrahydrofolate. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Standards and samples are incubated on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by a biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is added for color development and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
