Human MT1E/Metallothionein-1E ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of human Metallothionein-1E (MT1E) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. From Assay Genie, the kit is intended for research use and applies a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) reporting system.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity has been evaluated across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with serum (n = 5) at 88–99% / 90–100% / 81–93%, EDTA plasma (n = 5) at 89–105% / 84–91% / 84–95%, and heparin plasma (n = 5) at 85–100% / 82–100% / 80–100%. Recovery is reported as 86–95% (average 91%) for serum, 86–101% (average 93%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–100% (average 94%) for heparin plasma.

The protocol uses a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, a 60-minute detection antibody step, and a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin step, with TMB development read at 450 nm after stop solution. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C (with TMB and antibody-conjugate steps kept away from direct light) and the kit is specified as stable at 2–8°C for 12 months.
