Human MSMB/PSP94 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich (double antibody) ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human MSMB (Beta-microseminoprotein) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay is colorimetric, using a biotinylated detection antibody, an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The kit is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity for serum (n=5) is reported as 86–104% at 1:2, 82–95% at 1:4, and 83–96% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5), 85–97%, 87–101%, and 80–92%; and for heparin plasma (n=5), 85–105%, 84–99%, and 81–100%. Recovery values are reported as: serum 91–98% with an average of 95%, EDTA plasma 87–99% averaging 91%, and heparin plasma 89–98% averaging 94%. An included Bradford Reagent supports total protein normalisation of lysate samples.

According to the manufacturer, MSMB is implicated in prostate cancer risk assessment and diagnosis and in various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making the kit relevant to biomarker research and therapeutic development studies. Kit components are stored at 2–8 °C, with a stated shelf life of 12 months.
